Staying faithful

Thoughts from Jimmy….

One of the things I love most about my job is the opportunities I have to encourage and challenge our staff as we go about our various ministry responsibilities.  While serving others can be exciting and rewarding, it is often full of difficulties and hurdles. We can get overwhelmed, frustrated and tired of the mundane.  Recently I spoke in our weekly chapel and shared this definition of ministry with our team:

“Ministry happens when divine resources meet human needs through loving channels to the glory of God.” – Warren Wiersbe

Sometimes we feel overwhelmed or worn out and want to just avoid challenges (or challenging people), or we feel like we have to solve the world’s problems on our own, through our strengths and abilities. It’s good to be reminded that the best thing we can do for others is to connect them to Jesus and His resources and let Him take care of their needs. He’s really the only one who can anyway. Our job is to be faithful, follow His leading and simply be channels of His Grace flowing through us into the lives of others

Please take a moment to listen to this incredible story of a life change for a family.
